Accessories can completely change an outfit. A very simple look can be turned eye-catching with your jewellery with very little effort. But what’s the best way to style jewellery? A lot of people buy jewellery, wear it once, and then forget about it, as they don’t see it as an essential part of an outfit. However, it is. Here are some of the best styling tips to lift your look and help you wear more of your jewellery.

Keep Clothing Neutral For Statement Items
When you buy jewelry, you should always think about how you are going to incorporate each piece into your wardrobe. Don’t buy anything that you can’t think of several different outfits it could go with. If you buy lots of colorful, stack pieces, it’s not going to go with your bright, patterned dresses.
To avoid overloading an outfit, keep a mix of staple items in your wardrobe in more classic shades, like black, white, navy, and beige. Make sure you have a couple of casual shirts, tailored trousers, and cardigans in these colors and they should come in very useful when you have a standout piece of jewelry that you aren’t sure what to pair with.
Match Metal To Skin Tone
Choose the right metal for your skin tone. The colors of different metals will flatter different skin tones. The easiest way to tell if you are cool or warm-toned is to look at the veins on the inside of your wrist. If your veins look blue or purple, then you’re cool-toned, but if they appear green, you’re warm-toned. Remember that tone can also change with the seasons. For example, gold looks gorgeous against a warm tan in the summer, whereas silver looks beautiful on pale, cool-toned skin. Most people fall into either cool or warm categories, some do have neutral skin tones, and can wear either metal.
For a statement, you can choose the opposite to your skin tone for fashion jewelry, but for special pieces, such as engagement rings, or urn ash necklaces, work with your skin tone to make it look even more beautiful.
Layer Necklaces
Get creative with a few different necklaces. Two or three is ideal. Mix together a few different chain lengths. This lets each necklace stand out on its own without getting lost, creates some texture, and gives an interesting cascade finish. Different lengths will also prevent your necklaces from getting tangled up together when you wear more than one. Another useful trick to prevent tangling is to attach the necklaces together at the clasps, to make one big necklace.
Coordinate Earrings
If you have more than piercing in your ears, take advantage of it. For double lobe piercings, look for earrings that sit close to the ear. This makes them more versatile for combining with other styles. Choose complimentary designs for different holes in your ear, for a very pretty, effective look. You could pair a pair of moon earrings with a pair of star earrings, for example.
