It’s no great secret that the COVID pandemic has thoroughly altered how we do business all across the world. But if you are keen to keep on as normal as possible, there are certain things that you might be keen to continue doing. One concern is that of corporate events: many entrepreneurs and business owners will be wondering whether it is even possible to host such events anymore. The answer is probably yes, but you do need to make sure that you are doing them in a COVID-friendly way. Let’s take a look at the 3 key factors you will need to bear in mind when planning to host your next event.

Social Distancing
In most cases, you will be able to still carry on with corporate events as long as you are making good use of social distancing. This simply means that you are trying to keep people as much of a distance from each other as possible, and largely it comes down to just making it clear that you are taking it seriously as an employer. You can also use queue systems, expand out the space, and use events flooring to ensure social distancing at events. As long as social distancing is adhered to, you can host whatever events you like.
Smaller Events
In all likelihood, any corporate events you do hold are going to be considerably smaller for a good deal of time, just to make sure that you are limiting the spread of the virus as much as is possible. When you are hosting smaller events, you will find the whole process a lot easier, but it might mean that you need to therefore have more frequent events so that everyone has a chance of attending. If events get too small, they can often seem not worth it at all, so you will need to work out the balance for yourself.
Don’t Give Up On Zoom
Although you might be keen to get people into a room again, you shouldn’t be too quick to give up on video conferencing. After all, much of the time this is a fantastic way of bringing people together to learn, train, talk, and do all sorts of other activities together. You should ideally still be making use of Zoom as much as you can, even if you are also starting to think about in-person events as well. As long as you use it right, you can achieve a lot this way.
It does look as though things are opening up more and more, and it is likely that before too long you will be able to start having full-scale corporate events again. In the meantime, it’s all about patience and planning: developing the patience to not rush into anything, and making sure that you are planning for when things do open up, so you are ready when it happens. That way, you can keep on top of the situation without having to worry about falling behind as a business, and still do your part to get rid of the virus.
