You are an all-organic skincare brand. As an advice to those who know very little about the effects of natural beauty, why should organic ingredients be the key components in every woman's beauty cabinet?
Reluxury's key ingredients for face and body products are organic Argan Oil and Prickly Pear Seed oil. Our products are vegan, cruelty-free and harvested in Morocco. Organic skincare ingredients are less harmful compared to chemical skincare. Reluxury recommends organic ingredients, and we would say that every woman should try a natural ingredient to enhance their skincare naturally.
There are a lot of myths circulating within the media about Argan oil. What are the real benefits of organic pure Argan oil used in your products?
Argan Oil is a ancestral beauty product that has been used for centuries. It is essential to have the right, authentic Argan oil cosmetic product. This can be achieved by working closely with the women’s cooperative in Morocco. To add further value to this, is to have your cosmetic Argan Oil certified by a recognised organic body. Reluxury beauty Argan Oil is certified by ECOCERT. Argan Oil is suitable for all skin types. Argan Oil is light enough to be used as an everyday moisturiser, yet powerful enough to soothe the symptoms of skin disorders, like acne, eczema or rosacea. Organic Argan oil is a convenient moisturiser for dry scalp: it works by restoring nutrient content to skin cells. This stimulates hair and skin cells, and helps them to regenerate. Argan Oil may be used to treat split ends, hair damage, and to soften damaged hair cuticles.
What's your brand's connection with ethical agriculture?
Reluxury believes that not using fertilisers and toxic chemicals and respecting the land are key to sustainable and ethical agriculture. We have a great brand video on our website, which you can also view on our website.
Regionally, you work with the Berber women of Morocco. How does Reluxury's social mission tie with the region and what is the value exchange? What benefits have you brought to the women in employment, and vice versa?
Reluxury works closely with our women’s cooperative supplier, which helps us to contribute widely to sustain women’s empowerment, as well as to assist with rural education. We also take initiative to ensure fair wages are distributed to the Berber women, including fair working hours.
You have introduced two organic beauty oils into your range, which are truly gaining momentum around the industry. What are the real benefits of using pure, essential oils? How are they extracted and what guarantees their efficiency and quality?
Our Reluxury Prickly Pear Seed oil, which is our premium beauty oil, is carefully handled, stored and packaged to maintain its purity. The plant that contains these fruits has many dark seeds, which are then separated from the rest of the fruit. They are then dried and cold-pressed to obtain the prickly pear seed oil. It is an extremely labour intensive process. Yet the immense benefits are totally worth the labour. It’s a richer formula of anti-ageing elements, like Vitamin E and antioxidants. It is extremely high in essential fatty acids, such as linoleic acid, Omega 6 and 9, and also contains Zinc and Vitamin K, which lightens under-eye dark circles and reactivates the skin elasticity. We then have the oil placed by hand into bottles, and ensure its quality is secured by preserving it in white glass painted roller ball bottles, which avoid any spillage, too.

Winter can be an especially harsh season for the skin. What are perhaps your everyday winter skincare tips we can achieve with natural products you'd like to share with us?
In winter, we would recommend to add a few extra drops of Facial Oil, if you are using the Reluxury Argan moisturising oil. This will help to protect the skin from harsh winter weather. Nadia, the COO of Reluxury, shares that “My skin is naturally tanned throughout the year. I usually apply the Argan Oil daily to my face during winter months, that is in the morning, and then in the evening, I apply the Prickly Pear Seed Oil around my eyes, cheeks, brows and neckline”. During the week or weekends, we would suggest the Detoxifying Mask for the face, and then finishing off with a nice hot bath, treating yourself with the exfoliating Beldi Black Soap scrubbed all over your gentle body. Using these 2 skincare products additionally in your beauty regime will give your skin a beautiful glow, whilst leaving it smooth and silky. The Rose Water Toner is also a great cleanser to remove all the polluted smoke and dirt, or grime, that your face may catch in the winter months in the London city, or in any polluted metropolis.

Reluxury pays close attention to detail when it comes to saving energy, water and wastage, as well as recycling. We do our best to source materials that are not harmful to the environment, as well as that are easy to use day-to-day.

Organic ingredients are organically farmed, and can be regulated only by organic bodies, such as ECOCERT. Cruelty-free implies when there is no animal testing, which is what we have on our Reluxury beauty products. Gaining certifications, such as Leaping Bunny, can also add value. Vegan product means that the beauty product contains no animal products.
Why should transparency matter in today's beauty industry? How can we encourage brands to 'strip bare' and consciously operate on a more transparent policy?
Reluxury is open to supporting transparency by using fair, honest labels on our products and sharing ingredient listings. The consumer is then more objective to find out what they are applying to their skin. We have shared a video of our manufacturing process of Argan Oil on our homepage. Not all companies may want to do this, in case a competitor comes their way and starts to openly provide that same product at a lower price. Customers who shop online usually do their research and know what their budget and purchasing options are before they choose to purchase a skincare product. With so much digital content available to read and watch, like reviews and demo videos, also following relevant social media and going by word of mouth — naturally, nowadays, it can be a lot more easier to choose your favourite brand with the ingredients that you want to apply on your face, body and hair.
